Cinema Insomnia brought me back to the night when I come home from work at one in the morning and turn on the t.v. to see a sight I can't believe. An ape with a fish bowl on his head. Well I couldn't let that go so I sit and watch until The end. Huh, so I turn the channel and find myself in the middle of a t.v. play of waiting for godot. This is pre internet on broadcast t.v. so This turned out to be a sureal night indeed. Great vivid dreams though, It wasn't till weeks later I found out it was robot monster and waiting for godot. Overnight movies were the best.

Weekend Nights were anticipated with bated breath. We scanned the T.V. Guide for "Thrillers" every week. My Fave being "The Curse Of Frankenstein" and "Dr.Phibes" Of course before VCR/DVD you were lucky to see them once every few years! But they never left your memories. The "Horror Host" at that time was "Dr.Digby's Shock Theatre" based in Lawton, Oklahoma. Primitive indeed. And if you were a True Believer, you lined up your Monster Figures by your side along with assorted rubber Creatures you bought at the Dollar outlet for a buck. I can still smell the foul rubber!

I really need to come around here more often!!! Reading through some of the comments on here really brings me back.Remembering a little tiny B&W tv/radio. Saw the original King Kong on that thing late night one night, blanket covering the TV and I... such a big deal as a little guy, staying up late watching a great flick! Thanks Lobo for your part in keeping all that alive. Hoping to pass some of this on to my kids.
